Tis the season to be jolly......
Well only 10 days to go to christmas eh? this year it seems that christmas is coming up extreamly fast! already we have gone through the delights of the CYM christmas meal (see earlier post) or for a more detailed account of the night check out Fi's blog on www.walkwith.blogspot.com
Also this week saw a great party at the boys house as you can see by the wonderful picture below of myself, Paddy and Paul see a rose between two thorns!Currently the boys have a strange obessesion with pimp that snack
(http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/) check it out it's really quite amusing! so on the table of snack we had a giant mince pie, a pimped rice crispie square and a large shredded wheat cake - i was most impressed! A fun night was had by all i think, far to much alcohol consumed to go by how many people were complaining of hangovers in the morning (there was highly alcoholic punch) and so it's clear to see christmas is really on it's way! how exciting!

Sleep Out
As was warned (and rubbishly recieved as no one offered me money!) last night i took part in the annual sleep out for cardiff action for the single homeless. hummm....... what a night! from 9pm to 4.30ish am i went out in the streets of Cardiff with collecting tins to raise money - Oh the funny momnents!!! i have never been kissed, hugged and been given as many compliments as that night. Among the many funny stories i was hugged and kissed on the cheek by a very drunken argument, i was offered a bed and house to share by 3 rather cool guys from mid glamorgan uni that i ended up talking to for about 3/4 of an hour in the middle of the street! there was also the girl who showed me her tatoo on her ass while then hugging me and kissing me as i tried to prise her off me!
Anyhoo in my pot i raised £109.92 which was pretty sweet! over all we managed to raise around £1,450 odd - and with sponser money (HINT HINT!!!) we should raise quite a bit, tell u what though it was bloody freezing!!

Bristol Baptist College Christmas Meal!
Hummm.... well it was a very amusing time had at the CYM Christmas party, it was a slow start and although having a meal with Fi was a pleasure and resulted in alot of random pictures which may apear sometime it would have been nice to eat with some others! But hey i guess it was a practice for our repete performance on Christmas day - although maybe we wont have enough food for another 6 people!
On leaving this non stop party atmophere (can u sense my slightly bitter attitude hehe) we went once again to properganda night via a few drinks in Yates on the way the night was pretty good and i think a fun night was had by all even if i'm kinda getting sick of the same songs in that place i think next time we go out in Bristol we will have to go somewhere else just for a week or so!
So it's official Christmas is begining we have seen Finamore dancing.... no one can turn back now! but we also have this lovley photo of myself, Rhi and Fi as a momentum of our night.

London

A twinge of sadness came over me the other day when I was looking at the pictures someone had put up on the Oasis Frontline group on face book. I miss those days, being immersed in a different culture and working with such a variety of different people. Throughout all my time there I moaned, complained and on many occasions cried my way through the days, it was a real roller coaster but did a lot to shape who I am today.
Leaving London and coming to Cardiff was a big step, something that for a while I felt very guilty about. Was I turning my back on this community? Was I taking the easy option and working for a church not lacking in much. I have discovered through all of this that no matter where I go people are people, with the same issues and problems when you get deep down to it. Working for Oasis has changed me greatly but then so has living here and I hope that no matter where I work or live that will continue to shape the person I am.

Hello one and all, Last night was alot of fun and was one of those moment when i am reminded why i am involved in this thing called youth work. 20 of us went down to cardiff's winter wonderland and our anual ice skating session. The whole evening was a great laugh, well apart from the time Pete thought it would be hillarious to push me from behind and skate as fast as he possibly could (which is pretty darn fast!!!) lucky for me a am an alright skater so although absolutly bricking it i was able to avoid the wall and the people he was trying to dodge me into! Still a fun time had by all! Hat required!
